What a Fork Upgrade Kit is
YSS calls the Fork Upgrade Kit its most popular kit and describes it as a PD Valve plus spring kit, with a progressive spring and an adjustable preload cap. It lists the contents as front fork springs, linear or progressive, a PD Valve, a fork cap and fork oil for the model. YSS describes linear springs as even coils for a firm, stable feel, and progressive springs as soft at first and firmer under heavy impact.
Open cartridge kit
The CO208 for the Honda XL 750 is a different part: YSS lists CO208 as an open cartridge kit with a 20 mm piston and an 8 mm shaft, and the 880 in the code as the total length of the cartridge kit. The TRC in the code means threaded preload, rebound and compression adjustment.
