Motorcycle Windscreens
Motorcycle windscreens from two makers. Most of the page is WRS: Touring, Sport, Race, Caponord, Standard, Intermediate and Enduro screens for BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Ducati and many other makes, in clear, smoked, dark smoked or matt black. SW-Motech adds aluminium windscreens for naked and retro bikes, and a screen reinforcement for the BMW R 1200 GS and R 1250 GS.
WRS windscreens by line
WRS is based in Cattolica, Italy, and makes its screens from PMMA (Plexiglass). Its journal lists its lines from tallest to shortest: Caponord, Touring, Intermedio (Intermediate here), Standard, Enduro and Sport, then Rallye and Racing Pro. Race screens cover sports bikes such as the Panigale, YZF-R1 and S 1000 RR. WRS gives heights for individual parts, not for a whole line. Each line has its own page:
- WRS Touring Windscreens
- WRS Sport Windscreens
- WRS Race Windscreens
- WRS Caponord Windscreens
- WRS Standard Windscreens
- WRS Intermediate Windscreens
- WRS Enduro Windscreens
Four WRS Rally screens for the R 1200 GS and R 1250 GS are here too. WRS wind deflectors and headlight protectors are not windscreens, so they are on the main WRS page with the rest of the range.
SW-Motech windscreens for naked bikes
SW-Motech's sixteen windscreens fit bikes such as the Triumph Speed Twin, Trident, Bonneville and Scrambler, Yamaha XSR900 and MT-09, BMW R nineT, Kawasaki Z900RS, Husqvarna Svartpilen, CFMoto CL-X 700 and Suzuki SV650. SW-Motech makes them from aluminium, and our listings give weights from 0.5 to just under 1 kg. SW-Motech's own copy sells most of them on looks, with phrases such as "an individual touch". Its BMW R nineT page also promises "easy installation and optimum protection".
SW-Motech says the Kawasaki Z900RS and Suzuki SV650 screens replace the bike's original front. SW-Motech lists a mounting bracket and mounting material with the others. The SV650 bracket takes mini indicators with M8 threads, and SW-Motech says the screen also mounts with the larger original turn signals.
The Screen Reinforcement
One SW-Motech product is a brace, not a screen. The Screen Reinforcement fits the BMW R 1200 GS and R 1250 GS, which already carry a screen. SW-Motech says it is powder-coated steel, reduces fluttering and noise, and stays compatible with the original screen or an aftermarket one.
More from SW-Motech is on the SW-Motech page. For Harley-Davidson's own screens, see Harley-Davidson windshields.
Will it fit my motorcycle?
Most titles name the bike, and the Fitment section on every listing gives the exact models and years. Two Yamaha listings cover the XSR900, and two cover different MT-09 generations, so check the year range as well as the model name.
What is the difference between a WRS screen and an SW-Motech windscreen?
WRS screens are made from PMMA (Plexiglass), in lines that WRS lists from tallest to shortest, for adventure, touring, sports and naked bikes and some scooters. The SW-Motech screens here are aluminium, for naked and retro bikes, and SW-Motech's own copy leads on looks for most of them.
