SW-Motech Panniers & Side Cases
Most of this page is soft luggage: Legend Gear side bags and PRO Blaze saddlebag sets are for sale here in far greater numbers than the hard cases. Check first what a bag or case mounts to. On some lines the mount arrives with the bag, and on others it is a second thing to order.
What each line mounts to
SLC, SLH and SLS are SW-Motech's own names for the mounts, not the bags. The letters in a Legend Gear name say which mount it takes: LC1 and LC2 go on the SLC side carrier, LS1 and LS2 on the Legend Gear SLS saddle strap, and LH1 and LH2 on the SLH side carrier. The PRO Blaze and PRO Blaze H saddlebag sets use support arms instead of a carrier. SW-Motech says of the Dusc: "Can be used as a top case and side case". The carriers are listed with our SW-Motech side carriers and luggage racks.
Line by line

Adapter kits, inner bags and support arms
SW-Motech says the adapter kit for the SLC side carrier is "included in delivery". On a PRO or EVO carrier the adapter is a separate purchase, and the TRAX ADV page says "(adapters sold separately)". TRAX inner bags are separate listings here. SW-Motech says the removable support arms are "already included in the delivery of the PRO BLAZE saddlebag set", and the PRO Blaze H list names "2 x BLAZE support arms".
The parts to order alongside
The LS1 and LS2 bags need the Legend Gear SLS saddle strap, which is not on this page. Mounting, locks and water
Do I have to buy the side carrier as well as the bag?
It depends on the listing. Most Legend Gear LC listings have System in the title, and SW-Motech's delivery list for one of those reads "1 x Legend Gear Side bag LC2 1 x Waterproof inner bags 1 x SLC Side carrier Left", while the two-sided version lists a left carrier and a right one. Where the title has no System in it, the carrier is a separate product, and SW-Motech's page for the Legend Gear LC2 side bag on its own lists the "SLC left side carrier" as "Required for mounting". The PRO Blaze and PRO Blaze H saddlebag sets need no carrier, because their support arms are part of the set.
What is the difference between Legend Gear LC, LS and LH?
The mount, not the material. LC and LS bags are the same waxed canvas and Napalon synthetic leather. An LC bag goes on the SLC side carrier. An LS bag goes on the Legend Gear SLS saddle strap, which SW-Motech says "suits a large number of standard second-seat benches, even for conversions". An LH bag goes on the SLH side carrier, which "mounts to the original points on the fender strut" on selected Harley-Davidson models.
Is a lock included?
On the Aero ABS side case set, yes: SW-Motech lists "2 x Motorcycle bag locks" with it. SW-Motech's Urban ABS delivery list carries "2 x Lock for motorcycle luggage" and "2 x Waterproof inner bags", but that list is for a pair of cases and we sell the Urban ABS left and right singly. For the TRAX ADV case it says a lock set of six identical locks "is available as an option and is not included in delivery". The Dusc takes a lock for the case opening and the beam connection, and SW-Motech lists that lock as "sold separately". The Legend Gear LH1 and LH2 bags take a lock set of their own, two locks and two keys, bought separately.
Which of these bags and cases are waterproof, and which have a waterproof inner bag?
Two of them, in SW-Motech's own words: it calls the Sysbag WP bags "completely waterproof" and the Dusc a "Rugged and waterproof case". The Legend Gear LC and LS bags have a "water-resistant material" shell, and each one is packed with a "Waterproof inner bag made of 210D polyamide, double PU coating". The PRO Blaze bags have a "water resistant interior coating", and the PRO Blaze and PRO Blaze H sets both list two waterproof inner pockets. SW-Motech's own description of the TRAX ADV aluminium case reads "100% dust and water resistant".
Will these side bags and cases fit my bike?
Read the fitment list on the listing itself, because most of this page is model-specific. SW-Motech builds its carriers as "bike-specific systems from high-strength steel", and the PRO Blaze sets use "bike-specific developed removable support arms". Two things here are not tied to one model. The Legend Gear LS1 and LS2 bags mount to a saddle strap SW-Motech describes as a universal fit, and the Sysbag WP can be "looped onto the rear, a luggage rack or side carriers from other manufacturers".
